Wild Hair day

On the 26th of October 2007 there were many children with many different styles of hair including mohawks and green haired monsters. Each student with wild hair bought along a gold coin donation to go towards save the children fund which helps children in poverty have an education and a better life to live. 50 cents will buy a schoolbook for a child at school in India,
$30 will buy a bike so a child can travel to school in Vietnam and $80 will pay the salary of a teacher helping children in Afghanistan who have missed out on school so they can catch up so they can return to usual schools. Every 3 seconds, a child dies as a result of poverty. Nelson Central raised exactly $231.80 Just by every child with wild hair bringing along a gold coin. Don't forget, Every cent counts!
